An Adventurous Weekend in Munich

My sister C. visited me in Munich for the weekend. I must say … it was a demanding time. We went running twice along the Isar, we did something like open-water swimming in ice-cold water in the Michaelibad, we did high-performance shopping in Munich downtown on saturday during rush hour, we had to survive a „Kampfspatz“ („fighting sparrow“) at the Tegernsee and we almost got lost at a metro station while trying to find our car. Honestly, it was a quite exhausting weekend … but in a positive sense. I enjoyed it a lot! I hope my sister did too ;-)! Here are some picture of our adventurous weekend:

Celebration Day

Last friday was a special day for me … the 12th of July 2013 … a day not like every other day … almost an emotional issue … it was the OMIMC-day … One-Month-In-Munich-Celebration-day!!! Exactly one month before (12th of June) I arrived with my baggage in Munich to settle down. My bags were full with essentials like

lots of Swiss chocolate … of course, I don’t want to starve in Munich
sports clothes … needless to say, see also nr. 1
pictures and souvenirs from family and friends … makes me feel at home wherever I am
my beloved laptop … in order to stay in contact, see nr. 3
some more Swiss chocolate … to comfort me, see nr. 3 and nr. 4
and some Swiss chocolate just because it’s so nice 😉

Also a few less important things had to occupy some space in my luggage, including

clothes
shoes and coats
administrative staff
etc. .

Of course, I appreciated the fabulous One-Month-In-Munich-Celebration-day accordingly, in fact together with my sister C. who visited me for the weekend. We celebrated by having a great dinner in a nice italian restaurant. I enjoyed it a lot … but to be honest … I didn’t realize until today that I had actually forgotten the OMIMC on friday :roll:!
